Although muscle strength declines as we age, studies have shown that people who exercise regularly are stronger and leaner than others in their age group. Increasing muscle tone through weight training is just as important to health as aerobic exercise. It reverses the decline of bone density and muscle mass that comes with aging. Even quite elderly people who have never exercised before can increase strength, boost energy and improve their quality of life through exercise. But for the elderly, pregnant women, overweight individuals and those with arthritis or osteoporosis, high impact exercise just isn't an option.
Low impact exercise delivers the same benefits as traditional high
impact exercise without the strain on your body. Our members who
choose our low impact option can exercise longer while reducing the
risk of injuries.
Our specially engineered hydraulic exercise equipment is lower to the ground, features easy “walk up” seating and is designed for comfort and support. This equipment eliminates the common barriers to exercise, and sets the stage for a positive exercise experience. It is a low-impact exercise program that provides a total body cardio and strength routine that accommodates any senior exercise fitness level.

Seniors will want to take advantage of the special equipment in the Low Impact Circuit Training room.
